Every once in a rare while DreamPower takes on a special project. Several months ago a horse named Pete came to the barn on a trial basis. Pete is a Paint gelding who has suffered from foot problems. Over these past months DreamPower staff and volunteers have been helping with Pete's care by cleaning his hooves, applying medication to his feet and keeping his stall clean and dry. Under the care of a farrier and the DreamPower team Pete has been showing significant improvement! Once his health has been restored the next step will be working with Pete to see if he can achieve the calmness and maturity necessary for working as a therapy horse. As we head into Spring, DreamPower would like to thank everyone who has patiently attended to Pete.
