In June 2008 DreamPower received the largest donation in its history, from the estate of Robert D. Darragh, Jr. and Beatrice H. Darragh.  Through their daughter, Mary Darragh of Sausalito, CA, the Darragh Unitrust donated $22,726 to DreamPower.

Bob Darragh graduated from the Naval Academy and then met Beatrice Hanken, a navy nurse and the love of his life. They married in 1954 and lived in Oakland until her death in 1996. After graduating from the Naval Academy, Bob received a master's degree in Civil Engineering from the California Institute of Technology. Shortly thereafter he joined Dames & Moore, a geotechnical and earthquake engineering firm. As senior partner at Dames & Moore, he was involved in the foundation investigations for the TransAmerica Building in San Francisco and the Kaiser Center Building in Oakland, among others. Robert D. Darragh, Jr. died peacefully at home on November 19, 2007 with his three daughters at his side.

DreamPower is very, very grateful to Mary and her family for this generous donation.
